As we head into Spring (although it certainly does not feel like it) I've raided my stash and chosen my six Spring favourites to share with you. As usual it has been difficult to narrow it down to six, but I hate overloaded list posts!
Surprisingly, there is barely a pastel in sight here. There are a few of what could be considered "bright pastels", but no traditional easter-like pastel shades. I'm definitely feeling slightly brighter shades this year! So, after a really good rummage through my helmers and shelves (there are bottles everywhere now...not looking forward to tidying that up!) here are my six choices.
Barry M Sky Blue
From this year's Spring Gelly collection, Sky Blue is a perkier alternative to a pastel blue. See my original post here
Illamasqua Jo'Mina
Ah, my beautiful Jo'Mina! I've long been a fan of this shade, I swatched it a long time ago (those swatches are pretty embarrassing now) and it's still a firm favourite. If you like your lilacs with a punch, this is for you.
Models Own Swan
Any polish from the Spring 2014 Speckled Eggs collection is an Easter must-have, but I'm in the mood for the periwinkle shade of Swan - here come the Mini Eggs cravings again.
Zoya Dillon
Dillon is from last year's Awaken collection, a beautiful minty green with silver and gold metallic shimmer. This stood out to me as a perfect Spring green!
Barry M Lemon Ice Cream
Easter chick yellow. Much brighter than a pastel with 10x the cheeriness! Yellow polish is like marmite, but even if you wouldn't wear this alone it'd look great in a gradient. First swatched on my blog many moons ago.

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Lady Lavender
This one has been shamefully lying in my untried pile! Subtle lavender with strong silver shimmer, it's light and airy and a bit more fun than a creme.

All of them so pretty :)

ReplyDeleteJo'Mina is an all time favourite of mine as well! I'm loving that Barry M sky blue!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful spring colours and I love the graphics you created!
ReplyDeleteHahaha! Loved your comparison between marmite and yellow polish! So true :))
ReplyDeleteI don't own these specifically but several similar ones. And I like that you went for colours 'with a punch ', instead of the regular pastels :)
You've picked some fabulous shades! Zoya Dillon is one of my favorites too!
ReplyDeleteGreat picks! I always have a hard time picking favorites, especially with the spring and summer shades. I could never ever limit myself to six :'D
ReplyDeleteThese are all such fun picks :D! I might wear something yellow or blue or pink with Easter :).
ReplyDeleteGreat picks! That Illamasqua is absolutely stunning! I'll have to rummage through my drawers to see if I have something like it because I'm totally feeling that for this weekend :)
ReplyDeleteAll of these look stunning! As much as I adore my pastels, spring is usually the season that makes me wanna pull out the brights instead. So these are totally right up my alley! Thanks for sharing your picks, I found quite a few to add to my list of lemmings :D
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful nail polishes! I love the Illamasqua purple <3 such a big fan of purple nail polish. We have done a Spring Nail Polish Faves post on our blog, please check it out if you get the chance :) xoxo
