Morgan Taylor Cinderella Collection Swatches and Review

Press Sample

Disney is releasing a live action Cinderella film this March, and I can't wait to see it (I unapologetically adore Disney and Fairy Tales) plus Helena Bonham Carter is in it as the Fairy Godmother, so what's not to love!? Morgan Taylor has released a collection of polish to coincide with the film, in 6 fairy tale-worthy shades, and I have 3 to share with you today!

I've sang the praises of Morgan Taylor many times on my blog, my collection is growing all the time and I don't think I've yet encountered one I don't like! You can see my previous reviews here, here and here. They're on the more expensive side of polish, but they're only around the same price as an OPI; and in my experience so far MT have a more consistent quality.

Watch Your Step, Sister! - Beautiful creamy bright coral pink. I used 3 thin coats plus top coat.

Best Ball Gown Ever - Frosty blue with golden shimmer. This is so lovely and not at all what I picture when I think of frosts - the gold shimmer is a lot stronger in real life too. It's a little sheer but builds up easily, I've used 3 coats plus top coat.

If The Slipper Fits - Silver-blue glitter with holo particles. You can wear this alone in 2-3 coats, but it looks more intense with 2 coats layered over Best Ball Gown Ever, so that's what I've done here. It's a bit gritty but smooths out with a good thick top coat.

I don't have anything bad to say about these polishes, I'd have liked If The Slipper Fits to be a bit less gritty, but that's what top coat is for! If you get a chance, check out the rest of the shades in this collection - there's a minty green shimmer that I'm dying to get my hands on!

  1. I've never tried any polishes by this brand and although you review most of them as 3 coaters (which is always a turn-off for me), your gorgeous swatches may have me thinking twice about it ;)

  6. My favourite shade is Watch Your Step, Sister ! I think it's pretty similar to Suzi's Hungary Again by OPI (which is one of my all-time favourites by OPI !) :)

  12. I'm so in love with these polishes, and your swatches are so beautiful! I know Mac are doing a Cinderella collection but judging from reviews it's a bit of a let down, so I'm glad these are as good as they look! Just wish I lived near a Sallys so I could go check them out x
