With every new collection, people are always interested in the stamping capabilities of the polishes, especially with chromes and foils! I'm pleased to report that the new Colour Chromes from Models Own make great stamping polishes, and I've done a quick look to share with you today.
My stamper of choice is usually the squishy variety, so that's what I tried to use first, but it completely refused to pick up the polish on every stamp I tried (despite buffing) I know from experience the squishy stamper can be temperamental, so I'm reluctant to blame the polishes. I tried my firm Konad stamper instead, and that picked the polish up easily. I'd be interested to hear your experiences with the Chromes and the squishy stamper!
My base colour is the ever-so-wonderful Memento Mori by Cirque, stamped over with Blue and Pink from the Chrome collection. I used plate 05 (XL) from the Sailor Collection by MoYou London. It's definitely not as perfect as I would have liked, but my nails don't mix too well with a firm stamper due to being so curvy! I finished with some top coat, which I was worried would ruin the chrome bits but thankfully it didn't!
This is so pretty Allie! The chromes have picked up the design really well and I love the gradient you've done! It's strange how the squishy stamper didn't pick up the polish! :)

ReplyDeleteI'm not hugely gone on these polishes on their own but I do like them as stamping polishes! On a completely other note, I never knew there was squishier stampers! Will have to look into getting one, might work better for me than the harder ones I have
