My Blog Awards Nails!

Finally, here is a more detailed look at the nails I did for the Cosmo Blog Awards!

I knew I wanted to keep it quite simple, because I was going to have to get it perfect on my right hand as well as my left! I'm not overly confident in my freehand skills with my left hand, so I decided to mix up a gradient with some striping tape. I also wanted the colours to match my dress - 

So, this is what I came up with! My index, ring and little fingers have a base of piCture pOlish O'Hara. I added some striping tape in a diagonal direction, and sponged on a gradient using w7 Black. On my little finger I used the tape to make a triangle and filled it in with w7 Black. My middle finger and thumb have a base of Barry M Blood Orange, along with 2 coats of Illamasqua Untold to give it that sparkling ruby look! The gold heart stud on my middle finger is from Born Pretty Store. Everything was sealed with a couple of coats of No7 Stay Perfect top coat.

Untold is a really gorgeous glitter that goes so perfectly with Blood Orange! I was also quite impressed with how well I did my right hand, though unfortunately I forgot to get a picture of it...I assure you it does exist! These got quite a few compliments on the night so I was pretty happy with them.
