Rimmel Space Dust Swatches and Review

The Rimmel Space Dust collection consists of 5 glitter texture polishes (think Liquid Sand) and I have 3 to show you today!

It seems like every brand in the world is releasing their own textured glitter polish lately, which is what tends to happen (one brand releases a thing, slowly it filters down through all the other brands) I fear people might be getting bored of it now, but these ones looked so pretty I had to try them. The formula is decent and not too thick, although it does fall a bit short of the Barry M Royal Glitter collection which to me just seemed easier to apply. I've used 2 coats in all of my swatches.

Moon Walking is a lilac polish with silver sparkle and little silver hex glitters.

With 2 coats of top coat -

Luna Love is a hot pink polish with blue and pink shimmer, which is a lot more evident in the bottle than on the nails unfortunately! It's still a nice sparkle fest, if a little disappointing.

With 2 coats of top coat -

Total Eclipse is a charcoal polish with green glitter, and probably my favourite of the 3. Again, it's a bit more interesting in the bottle than on the nails! I much prefer this one with top coat because it brings out the green sparkle.

With 2 coats of top coat -

Unfortunately, the bottles do get your hopes up a bit too high with these! That's not to say they aren't nice, I was just expecting a little more. Total Eclipse is my pick of these, if you're going to try one I'd go for that!

These are available for £3.99 in Boots, Superdrug, and Tesco stores with make-up sections.

  5. Oooh I love the pink one, your swatches are beautiful! Although I also need to stop buying textured glitters - I love them but hardly wear them after the first try!

  8. I feel similarly to you - I picked up Luna Love and Total Eclipse a couple of weeks ago and felt a bit disappointed by them. They're nice enough and I think they might appeal to those who haven't tried textures before, but they definitely don't compare to the Seventeen ones I have. If only they looked as awesome on the nail as in the bottle!

Have to say, though, that I thought Moon Walking was one of the less adventurous ones, but it looks lovely in your photos.

  10. I'm not yet bored with sand polishes... because I love them! xD I agree, every brand seems to be releasing their own sand texture line. My favorite of the three is without a doubt Total Eclipse and I haven't seen a polish like it before. Kisses,

    Cristina
