I had an amazing time in Edinburgh, what a beautiful city! I saw a Panda, Koalas, went on a ghost hunt and ate far too much food. Also, while I was away, the whole thing with Mentality Polish blew up (if you're unaware about the fiasco, read this post by The Mercurial Magpie) I don't want to dedicate much blog space to that brand, so I'll just say I will never touch them but I continue to support indies, and I hope the girls who've been affected recover quickly. Anyway, I have all ten shades from the Fall 2015 collection by Colors by Llarowe to share with you today, so as you can imagine this post is pretty picture heavy.
This is the debut of Colors by Llarowe on my blog, and it's a big collection. A few years ago, swatching 10 polishes for one post would have terrified me but now I'm just used to it! All of these shades have a warmer, autumnal feeling to them, while still keeping a couple of brighter shades to help us transition into the colder months; they're also all either linear holo or scattered holo.
Aubergine Dreams is a deep purple linear holo with pink and purple flash. The formula is thick but not unmanageable and is perfect in 2 coats. Most of these shades dry semi-matte, so I've added a gloss top coat.

Lake of the Pines is a deep teal holo with blue undertones. Definitely one of my favourites, the colour is so beautiful! Richly pigmented and perfect in 2 coats

Memories Of You is a silver scattered holo with lavender undertones. This has one of those glowy finishes you see on some holo shades. I used 2 coats plus top coat

Mocha Grande is a deep chocolatey brown linear holo with red and copper shimmer. This is stunning, I actually really like brown shades but they're not easy to wear...this however definitely is. I used 2 coats plus top coat

Wine & Roses is a deep red wine linear holo. Even though I'm not a fan of reds this gives me warm fuzzy Autumn feelings! 2 coats plus top coat

Rain is an ocean blue scattered holo, another with a glowy finish. I used 2 coats plus top coat

I've saved my favourite 'til last. The Fallen is a coppery red base with scattered holo, flakies that shift from red to copper and a smattering of shimmer. This is the stand out for me, it's pure Autumn and super beautiful, I can't stop staring! I used 2 coats plus top coat

This is a beautiful Autumn collection of wonderful quality polishes - they're all smooth and pigmented, and every single one is perfect in just 2 coats. A couple are on the thicker side but they didn't give me any difficulties. My lighting set up doesn't show off the holo effect in their full glory, but rest assured it's bright and bold, especially on the linear shades. Let me know your favourites!

ReplyDeleteNow here's a Fall collection I love - they're not you're usual boring, brown-ish shades, these are pretty vibrant: Last Harvest and Aubergine Dreams are the bomb!
