If you're looking for something a little glitzy and glam for Christmas, the new Disco Pants collection from Models Own might be for you. Turning away from traditional Autumn/Winter collection shades, Models Own have jumped straight into the Christmas party mood! 

I have to admit I love the name of this collection...all the polishes are inspired by famous New York nightclubs, and the finishes replicate satin disco pants - what can be bad about that!? It definitely made me smile! Though I can't say I've ever worn a pair of satin disco pants, there's still time ;)

I'm starting with my favourite. Roxy is a beautiful purple amethyst gem, with loads of complimenting shimmer and flecks (I think I see some blue and red in there!) and it's just stunning! I used 2 coats for full coverage, plus top coat. 

Sound Factory is the second shimmer of the collection. This has more obvious glassflecks which are so pretty, and it's super bright and pigmented so don't forget your base coat to protect from any staining. I've used 2 coats and top coat.

Paradise Garage is a metallic green with a bit of shimmer. Very opaque and perfect in 2 thin coats (or even one thick one) brush strokes are minimal, just be gentle with the brush! 2 thin coats here, no top coat. 

Copacabana is a pale gold foil, super opaque and a bit tricky due to the finish. I'd recommend applying one coat, waiting for it to dry and then applying a second coat with really light brush strokes - use the tip of the brush and brush on ever so lightly. I used that method here and it minimised brush strokes considerably!

Lastly is Studio 54, a hot hot pink with a little bit of shimmer. Holy brightness! I used 2 coats, no top coat.

I'm not usually a big fan of metallic finishes so I'm glad Models Own have included a couple of sparkly shimmers in the collection too. The metallics would be wonderful for stamping though, if you're into that! I am completely in love with Roxy, that is definitely the one you're going to need!
