OPI Muppets Most Wanted Swatches and Review

OPI Muppets Most Wanted

Today I have 4 shades from the OPI Muppets Most Wanted collection to show you, inspired by...well, the Muppets Most Wanted movie, of course!

This collection consists of 8 shades and is also OPI's Soft Shades release for 2014, if that makes sense! I have 4 to show you; a shimmer, 2 cremes and a glitter!

Chillin' Like a Villain is a sheer peachy nude creme, very office friendly! As it's sheer it took 3-4 coats to build up, but the formula is great so I had no issues. This is 4 thin coats and top coat.

Int'l Crime Caper is a sheer opalescent pearl shimmer. This isn't my kind of polish generally but it is super pretty, it has a purple sheen and tiny shimmering flecks. I used 3 coats (no top coat) and my nail line is still a bit visible, so you'd be better applying it over something. I think it'd be nice over black!

I Love Applause is a soft sheer pink creme with a similar formula to Chillin' Like a Villain. I used 4 thin coats and top coat.

Gaining Mole-mentum is a shredded glitter with silver, gold and rose pink shards. It's very similar to Barry M Treasure Chest, but with the addition of silver shards. It's pretty dense and spreads easily, I used 2 coats and top coat over I Love Applause. I adore the combination!

While sheer polishes are not generally my thing, I think it's good to have a few in my collection and these are really good quality so no complaints here!

These polishes are available now from department stores and salons nationwide.

  1. I really wasn't sure if I wanted to get any from this collection because the glitter weren't that appealing and the cremes were way to sheer, but your lovely swatches are making me rethink this ;)

  3. Chillin' Like A Villain looks a bit meh in the bottle but on your nails it's gorgeous. Def need to get me some of that!

  4. I was quite sure that I don't need a polish from this collection because the glitter isn't my favourite kind of glitter and the cremes were so sheer ... but damn, now I'm thinking about "I Love Applause". ("Chillin' Like A Villain" looks gorgeous on your nails but I know that the colour won't suit me at all ...)

  7. I am not in love with the colours - I don't often wear pastels, but I like the top coat and your pretty swatches :)

  8. These are very very pretty, I actually love the glitter which is strange for me as I usually prefer fine glitters.

    Great post as always :)

  9. Beautiful colours, beautiful nails, beautiful swatches!
But - I`ve already got Treasure Chest
    - 4 coats? I think I`d get really annoyed... I`m not very patient :-/

  10. Oh my gosh even that sheer color looks amazing on you, despite it not being something you would have picked on your own. The peach is also VERY flattering on you! I would totally pick it up but I can't pull off peaches that well.
