Guest Post From Nail Polish Society

My final guest post comes from Emiline aka Nail Polish Society. Emiline's blog is a mix of beautiful swatches and nail art and I just love her flawless nails and macro shots. We're definitely going out with a bang with this super bright and cheerful summer design!

Hello fine people! I'm Emiline and I run a blog called Nail Polish Society. I am so excited to be a guest on Allie's blog today! I have been following Brit Nails for years and this is slightly surreal. Allie showcases her swatches and nail art so well with great photos and those gorgeous nails! I've tried to create something special for this post and I hope you enjoy!

For this mani I created some bright and funky needle drag/dry marble decals that have a sort of 70's vibe with the color combination. To make the decals I painted the polish onto my UberChic Beauty Mini Uber Mat and used an orange stick to create the designs in the polish. Because I had some other nail art I was working on in the meantime, I let it sit for about 24 hours before taking them off my mat and applying them. Sometimes decals can be too brittle if left that long, but there was a generous amount of polish with these that helped keep them pliable.

To apply the decals I removed them from the mat, decided which ones I wanted on which nail, and trimmed them to size. These neons don't need a white base to make the colors pop so I applied them on bare nails with just a tacky layer of base coat. Using a clean up brush and acetone I dissolved the edges to fit better and lay flush with nails. I finished off with one coat of fast drying top coat and I was done!

What I used:
American Classics Yellow Stopper base coat
Colores de Carol Alley Oop - green
Colores de Carol Let Him Run Wild - yellow/green
Colores de Carol The Girl From NYC - pink
Colores de Carol Surfer Girl - orange
Seche Vite top coat
UberChic Beauty Mini Uber Mat

I hope you like the look and are now in a nice cheery Summer mood! Thank you Allie for having me, it was a real pleasure!

Thank you for your beautiful guest post Emiline, all these stunning drag marbles are making me think I need to give it a go. I haven't posted a super bright design in such a long time, you've definitely inspired me! - Allie
