Today I've got a polish from the Stop! Collaborate and Listen collection by Pretty Serious to show you. As you may have guessed, this collection is all about blogger collaborations, and this shade is by my friend Hannah of Polly Polish who was kind enough to gift me a bottle.
Iktsuarpok is an unusual and eye catching name and here is a shameless copy and paste job from Hannah's blog to tell you what it means:
"Iktsuarpok is an Inuit word that describes the feeling of anticipation of a visitor arriving imminently, thus leading you to keep looking outside to see if they’re there yet"
So, now you know! Definitely emulates how I feel about the postie coming with blog mail! I know grey is a colour Hannah loves so I'm not surprised to see she's gone with it for her collab, but it's definitely not just any grey; Iktsuarpok is a medium grey creme\jelly filled with pretty silver glassflecks that catch the light beautifully. As Hannah says, it's a bit of a changeling and appears differently depending on your light source. Indoors I found it to be a deeper grey and outdoors it took on a lovely blue tone. You can find out more about the shade on Hannah's blog post.
The formula is fantastic, super smooth and opaque in 2 coats, and gives an even distribution of glassflecks. My pictures show 2 coats plus top coat.
I'm a big fan of grey polish and glassflecks, so it almost feels like Hannah made this just for me! It's understated yet complex and the formula is just perfect. This is also my first experience with Pretty Serious, I'm suitably impressed!
