I must admit, I was a little bit disappointed when I found out Barry M are only releasing one Gelly for Summer this year, but they've had so many other nail releases going on I can forgive them! Plus, it's a really good one ;) I've got some swatches to share with you plus a (rather pointless) comparison!
Sugar Plum is an orchid shade which looks a lot like Pantone's 2014 colour of the year, and it's just beautiful! It looked a lot more pink in the Summer look book, but it's definitely more purple in real life. This has been bumped straight up amongst my favourite Gelly shades. The formula is fantastic, I almost got away with 1 coat but I used 2 for perfect coverage. No top coat.
It's not like any other Gelly released so far, and I also had a rummage in my Barry M drawer and couldn't find anything similar in there either. I've done a comparison anyway but it's apples and oranges! You can rest assured you won't have another Gelly similar to it.

ReplyDeleteIt is gorgeous but I'm so sad it's on it's own :( I like seeing the seasonal Gelly collections because I find them inspiring for nail art ideas... ah well hopefully in the autumn!
