Hi! Today I have Lancôme's wonderful Summer 2014 additions to the Vernis in Love nail polish range to show you, all inspired by summer nights on the French Riviera (sounds dreamy, right!?)
The press release for this collection states: "This glistening limited edition collection encapsulates the blue serenity of the Mediterranean and golden sands" and I have to agree, it does! Lancôme is one of my favourite high-end brands for polish; while they are expensive, the formula for me is second to none and much better than a Chanel or a Dior. As I said in my last Lancome review, the brush is to die for too!
Nuit d'Azur (557) is one of THOSE blues. It's like a slightly bolder cousin of Nails Inc. Baker Street. This has a beautiful formula, perfect in 2 coats and supremely glossy even without topcoat.
Marine Chic (555) is a true Navy Blue, and a true 1 coat polish! 2 of my nails have 1 coat on, and 2 have 2 coats on. No difference at all! The formula is perfection.
Golden Riviera (340) is my favourite of the 3. This is a beautiful golden sand colour, with a soft matte finish. It has the look of a liquid sand style polish, but it's completely smooth! It has tiny flecks of warm gold scattered throughout, and is perfect in 2 coats.
When you add a top coat, Golden Riviera comes alive! I can't decide whether I prefer it satin or glossy, both are just lovely. If you like sparkle though, definitely add top coat and get this in the sunshine...so beautiful!
This is a perfect little collection of complimenting shades with a high quality feel. If anything, you need Golden Riviera in your life!

I really like this second one ! The opacity is just perfect ♥
ReplyDeleteThe gold is pretty! It wouldn't be fitting for my skin colour but it is indeed very beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteGosh I love the gold one so much. Unfortunately I have to do my nail art on a pretty tight budget at £13 for 6ml is a bit steep for me, so I shall just admire it from afar. Along with your cuticles, which I am perennially envious of.
ReplyDeleteGreat swatches! The nail polish bottles are so pretty too! Golden Riviera looks amazing with a topcoat - I cannot believe the difference! Nuit d'Azur is such a nice bright blue too! :)
ReplyDeleteI loved the gold one. It has just enough sparkles. Btw your nails are perfect.
