2true Explosion! Metallica, Glitterati, Salon Shine and 3D Candy

Firstly, thank you all very much for my Birthday wishes in my last post. I really appreciate it! :)

I have some 2true goodies to show you today! 2true is a very affordable brand exclusive to Superdrug and they've recently come out with some great new stuff! You may have already seen their Glitterati glitter polish (I posted about one here a while ago) and now they have a Pro range which includes Metallica and Salon Shine. Last but not least is their new 3D Nail Candy!

Pictures and review ahead

The new Salon Shine polishes are similar to the Barry M Gelly range and are currently available in 5 shades. The one I've tried here, Sienna, is a very similar consistency although perhaps a little bit thinner than the Gellies. I used 3 coats and top coat.

I added 1 coat of Glitterati in Rose Gold (shade 6), which is lots of pink hex glitter and shiny micro glitter in  pink jelly base. This was super easy to apply and not at all gloopy, though I would recommend layering it over a colour rather than using it on its own.

The Metallica range consists of 5 metallic chrome shades. I've tried Aglaia, a silvery green. I used 2 coats (no top coat) and I'd recommend not painting over the same area too much on the nail as they can drag, but if you're quick they look great and super shiny. They're highly pigmented too which means you can use them for stamping!

The 3D Candy range are little bottles full of tiny beads with which you can make the famous caviar manicure. I haven't used them for that as I'm not a fan of that kind of nail art, so I've used them to make a stud accent nail instead, shown here over Aglaia. The Candy range comes in 4 different colours, this is Marine which consists of blue and green beads.

Finally, this is Glitterati in Amethyst (shade 4) shown over Sienna. Amethyst consists of pink and blue hex glitter in a clear base. I did a quick accent nail with Aglaia to show you can stamp with the Metallica range!

I always love it when affordable brands come out with new ranges, especially glitters! Everything you see here is available exclusively in Superdrug stores nationwide in the UK. Prices are  -

Glitterati - £1.99 each (or 3 for £5)
Metallica Pro - £4 each
Salon Shine Pro - £4 each
3D Candy - £3 each

  5. I think some people pass cheaper polishes by thinking they will be rubbish. But this just shows they are not!! Lovely!
