Nail Art Threesome: Polly Polish

Hannah (Polly Polish), Alice (One Nail To Rule Them All) and I are banding together in a nail art threesome of sorts; each of us is taking on a design by the others, and I'm starting today with a design by Hannah. All three of us have been friends for years now and often chew each others ears off in a Whatsapp group, so something like this is long overdue!

Admittedly this wasn't the first of Hannah's designs I tried, I originally went for this stained glass number because it's so fun and quirky, but no polish I had could replicate the blue stained glass effect so I had to scrap it (much to my annoyance, I just love those little fish)

I ended up going for these cute drag marble hearts, which actually works out quite well since we're coming up to Valentine's Day and I have the exact same polishes in my stash. I was expecting it to be quite easy, but what you see here is probably my fourth attempt! They were just not looking like hearts at all, but I'm pretty pleased with what I ended up with, despite the imperfections.

I used Barry M matte polish in Vanilla and Crush, and a needle from a jewellery making kit I had to drag through the dots to make hearts.

I hope Hannah likes my tribute since she hasn't seen it yet! They're definitely not as good as her originals, but I like them nonetheless.

Head over to Polly Polish and One Nail To Rule Them All to see what designs they've chosen. The next instalment of the threesome is coming on Monday!
