Today I have swatches of the Gumdrops collection from Nicole by OPI, six sparkly limited edition textured polishes inspired by sweets!
This is one of the nicest textured collections I've seen, there's a good mix of colours and they're quite sparkly in real life, more so than on camera! I always find textured polishes so easy to apply too and these are no different. They dry down to a matte finish, but you can add a thick top coat to make them shine if you prefer.
I believe this collection has been around for a while in the US, but was only released in the UK quite recently (November according to my press release).
I Lilac Gumdrops is a shimmering lilac with silver glitter flakes. I used 2 coats.
A-Nise Treat is black with buckets of silver sparkle. 2 coats
My Cherry Amour is a magenta base full of scattered holo glitter and my favourite from this collection! I think this would look better glossy as it'd bring out the holo a lot more, but it's still lovely as it is.
Blue-Berry Sweet On You is a lavender toned blue with a metallic, frosty looking finish. 2 coats
Cinna-Man Of My Dreams is an interesting mix of pink-toned browns and coppers that looks like glittery cinnamon! 2 coats
Candy Is Dandy is another favourite, a sweet pink shade with silver glitter and larger iridescent hex glitters. 2 coats
This is such a nice little collection, I'll definitely be wearing them in future!
The Gumdrops collection is available now in Superdrug stores nationwide, priced £7.99 each.
Amazing! Im so tempted to go and buy them :D
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous! A-Nise Treat especially :)
ReplyDeleteNormally I love OPI polishes ... but I just can't quite bring myself to like these I'm afraid
ReplyDeleteI have all of these (I'm in the US) except the cinnamon one, and I have another called That's What I Mint that is kind of an emerald green (not sure why it was separate from this collection, at one time I thought it was a Canadian exclusive). I am actually wearing it now along with the cherry one for an Xmas mani! I also have two teeny tiny bottles of silver that came in two NOPI Selena Gomez sets with regular NOPI polish.
ReplyDeleteThese have added to my OPI Liquid Sands, Zoya PixieDusts, and JulieG Frosted Gum Drops...(and I have a few random textures like new Essie Lots of Lux in sapphire and Sally Hansen Sugar Coat Royal Icing and L'oreal Gold Dust).....so I guess you could say I really like these. :D
I LOVE the mint one! I wonder why they're not in with this collection? I really want it now!
DeleteWow! the swatches are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove the black/silver shade!
