Hello! Today I'm showing you the new Off Shore collection for Summer 2014 from China Glaze! In part 1 is the 6 polishes from the "Dune Our Thing" half of the collection.
I was a bit sceptical about these polishes because I'd read mixed reviews on China Glaze's City Flourish collection from earlier this year - tales of streaky, dragging polish! However I was pleasantly surprised while swatching, there was minimal issues in application.
Some of these polishes dry semi-matte and some dry super glossy, I'm not sure if this is intentional by China Glaze or not! I added a top coat to the semi-matte ones to bring out the shine. With the semi-mattes, I would recommend a thin coat first and then a thicker coat on top.
Feel The Breeze is a medium baby pink which manages to be quite bright. I really love this! The formula was good, it dries semi-matte so I added a top coat to make it glossy. It's a little thick but nothing unmanageable. 2 coats here
Float On is a brighter candy pink. Similar formula to Feel The Breeze, dries semi-matte so I used top coat. 2 coats here
X-Ta-Sea is a dusty violet. This one dries glossy so no top coat was needed! This has a thinner formula than the semi-matte ones. I used 2 coats
I Sea The Point is a lovely bright blue. This is also a semi-matte finish therefore a bit thicker on the formula. I used 2 coats and top coat
Wait N' Sea is one of those really hard to capture shades (China Glaze is good at making hard to photograph shades...Custom Kicks anyone!?) I did my best though and I would say this is pretty accurate, though maybe a teeny bit more turquoise in real life. Anyway, LOVE this, of course! It's very much a me shade! This has a great formula and a glossy finish. 2 coats
Lastly is Dune Our Thing, a super glossy magenta which has the best formula out of the 6. It applies like butter and is practically a one-coater! I used 2 because of my huge nails :P
So, I'm pretty impressed with the first half of Off Shore! The mix of glossy and semi-matte is a little odd but there are no bad formulas so far. I especially like the pinks in this collection, they're creamy but so bright! The second part of this collection will be up soon.
My Picks: Feel The Breeze, Wait N' Sea and Dune Our Thing

Gorgeous colors! I love them all!
ReplyDeleteMy favourites: Wait n' Sea, Dune Our Thing and I Sea tThe Point :) I Sea The Point is similar to Barry M's Blue Grape a bit.
ReplyDeleteWait N' Sea looks like turned up turquoise. Eh I'm not a huge fan of this collection aside from the blues
ReplyDeleteI must buy Walt N Sea!! So lovely xx
ReplyDeleteThese are all really nice! I've been buying so many glitters and multichromes and "unusual" polishes lately--I really need to get back into some basic cremes like these :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous shades x
ReplyDeleteI love the look of all of these! My favourites have got to be X-Ta-Sea and Wait N' Sea! :)
ReplyDeleteIs the X-Ta-Sea a gel polish?
ReplyDeleteNo just regular!
ReplyDeleteBought Feel The Breeze recently, lovely color. Too bad it dries matte, but that's nothing a good topcoat can't fix :)
