Mavala Garden Party Swatches and Review

Mavala Garden Party Collection

Press Sample

Today I've got 4 shades from the Mavala Garden Party collection for Spring/Summer 2015 to share with you, a collection of sweet and girly soft shades inspired by the floral trends of the SS '15 catwalks. I've actually never tried Mavala until now, I was surprised to learn how many shades they have!

I must admit mini bottles are not usually my thing (I know a lot of people, especially bloggers, feel the same) but the Mavala bottles have a certain cuteness factor. I like the shape and the lids, and they're just about big enough for me to hold for swatch photos!

Jasmin is a soft powdery pink creme with hidden shimmer, almost a nude but not quite. I liked this much more than I expected to! It's a little sheer but built up easily in 3 coats. My skin tone went a bit weird in this picture, please ignore ;)

Mavala Jasmin

Petunia is a brighter medium pink creme, also with hidden shimmer. The formula is nice and smooth, I used 2 coats plus top coat

Mavala Petunia

Hortensia is a rose pink creme. The formula for this one wasn't quite as good as the others, a little streaky but evened out in 3 coats.

Iris is a soft lilac creme with a perfect 2 coat formula. You will never find me bored of lilacs! ;)

Mavala Iris

I have to include a picture of the ridiculously cheerful display stand because it's one of the nicest I've seen, I love it! (pic from Mavala

While not crazily exciting, I appreciate the perfect palette of soft spring shades that will take you through to summer (what Summer!?) what do you think, are you over Spring shades or are these your thing?

  2. Oh so creamy and perfect! I know all the different finishes and effects we see in polish are super fun, but cremes are still my personal favorite!

  8. Girl, you ROCK a pink mani! It looks incredible on you. These are all such lovely shades and definitely something that could work most of the year which I like a lot.

  9. I've always liked pastel polishes but, this Spring, the lovebug hit me especially hard! I can't get enough of pastels, it seems. I'm still wearing them, even though where I live, we are starting to have 90+F temperatures, with high humidity, which seems more appropriate for brights and neons. Your swatches of these soft shades are so beautiful.
