I have some beautiful summer brights to share with you today in the form of the Cirque Juicy collection! 6 bright and bold holo shades for Summer 2015, inspired by "luscious days and summertime favourites"...sounds good to me! Now can we actually have some summer please, England? :P Pic heavy post ahead...
My first experience with Cirque was the Live It Up collection back in December, and I'm excited to be able to try out their famed holos for the first time. I had high expectations for these, and I'm happy to say they surpassed them! The formula is consistent throughout, smooth and easy to apply, no drag or clump and highly pigmented - a dream, basically. The holo effect is super strong, in fact up there with the strongest I've seen. I've tried to include a sunlight shot for each colour but gah it was not easy...I was literally chasing the sun around the garden! Sunlight shots are a pain in this country!
La Tropicale is a deep teal holo, with probably the strongest effect of the bunch. Perfect in 2 coats! (I'm not wearing top coat in any of these swatches)
Direct sunlight:
Concord is a royal purple holo. 2 buttery smooth coats
Direct sunlight:
Valencia is a mandarin orange holo. I didn't own an orange holo until this arrived and I'm completely sold! 2 coats
Direct sunlight:
Framboise is a raspberry pink holo. 2 coats
Direct sunlight:
Royal Hawaiian is a sea blue holo. 2 coats
Direct light (the holo effect is stronger than this suggests, this pic is a bit of a fail!)
Finally, Limoncello is a bright lemon yellow holo which takes on a golden hue in sunlight. As with Valencia, I didn't own a holo in this colour until now...I'm totally in love! This is my favourite of the bunch, I want to wear it forever. I had a slight bit of VNL after 2 coats so I added a third.
Direct sunlight:
Juicy is a perfect description for these shades, they're deliciously mouthwatering and the burning bright holo effect is stunning! Along with the faultless formulas these a must-have for Summer. Let me know your opinion!
My picks: Limoncello (of course), Valencia, La Tropicale
