Cadillacquer Dreams and Dust Collection Swatches and Review

Today I have the very beautiful Dreams and Dust collection from Swiss indie brand Cadillacquer to share with you, a collection of 4 glitters and 4 holo/shimmers inspired by Game of Thrones! This is Cadillacquer's debut on my blog so I'm quite excited, and you've been warned, this post is picture heavy!

I'll say before I even begin that yes, I am a huge Game of Thrones fan (books and tv, although the books are a bit like wading through custard at times aren't they!?) so the names of these polishes are not lost on me! It definitely made me even more eager to try them out. Whether you love, hate or don't care about GoT you're still pretty much guaranteed to find something you like here, rarely do I see such a varied collection.

I had high expectations for the formula on these having read many Cadillacquer reviews, and I wasn't let down (phew) there are no bad formulas here at all, everything is very easy to apply with no clumping or drag and most are good to go in 2 coats! I'll start with the glitters...

The Night Is Dark And Full of Terrors (who else read that in a Melisandre voice?) is a stunning dark blue jelly with electric blue glitter. This is 2 coats plus top coat

Kissed By Fire is a red jelly with warm gold glitter flakes and iridescent flecks. 2 coats plus top coat

Wear It Like Armour is a pretty pale lilac creme/jelly with rose gold glitter. This was a little more sheer than the other glitters so I added a third coat, though you may find 2 is enough. Shown is 3 coats plus top coat. 

Where The King Goes, The Realm Follows is a true teal creme/jelly with gold glitter. My pictures don't capture it perfectly, it's a slightly darker, more green teal in real life. I'm frustrated I couldn't get it 100% colour accurate because it's gorgeous! 2 coats plus top coat

On to the holo/shimmers! A Dragon Is Not A Slave is difficult to describe, in some lights it looks copper/brown and in others it looks more purple/mauve! This one contains linear holo that shows best in low light or sunlight. 2 coats plus top coat

Outdoors:

Dreams and Dust is a subtle grey holo with tiny hidden flakies and green shimmer. Another beautiful shade, but difficult to capture in all it's glory! I thought this was going to be sheer but it only needed 2 coats.

Outdoors (the holo just refused to be captured, but it's there somewhere!):

Valar Morghulis is a deep magenta holo, so beautiful when it catches the light! This also contains hidden flakies. 2 coats plus top coat

I've saved my favourite 'til last! Nothing Burns Like The Cold is an icy grey-blue, shimmering holo with flashes of green shimmer. This is stunning, my pictures don't do it justice! I relate to this one the most, if I was in GoT you'd probably find me north of the wall with all the other weirdos ;) 2 coats plus top coat

That was a BIG post! Needless to say, this collection has my heart. Faultless formulas and a good mix of colours and finishes to suit everyone. I hope I've managed to do them enough justice! What's your favourite?
