I have a few swatches of new shades from Brit brand Jacava today!
I've reviewed Jacava polishes twice before, here and here. I was suitably impressed with them then (they have a patented 8-free formula!) so I was happy to try some more.
Too Hot To is a deep dark red shimmer. The formula is good (though not as good as Jacava's cremes) and dries fast. I used 2 coats and a coat of Jacava Top Coat, which dries just about as fast as my favourite quick dry top coat!
Oxford Street is a red jelly base with iridescent hex glitter. The glitter is very sparse so it's difficult to get an even coverage. I'm not a huge fan of this sadly, I had higher hopes! I used two coats plus top coat.
Smooth Liquid Gold is a golden metallic shimmer which applies beautifully with minimal brush strokes. 2 coats here, no top coat.
Dance With Me is a sophisticated red wine shade with a bit of shimmer. 2 coats plus top coat
Regent Street is the same formula as Oxford Street, but with a red wine coloured jelly base. 2 coats plus top coat
I was a bit disappointed in the glitters, but I can't fault the formula of the other shades, though these particular colours feel a bit too "grown up" for me! I much prefer Jacava's creme polishes, as tried in my previous reviews.

These nail polishes look great! Dance With Me is such a nice colour! Oxford Street looks great too, it's just a shame about the formula of it! :)
ReplyDeleteOoooh, they are nice! I'm not a fan of reds, but I like them. I certainly like the glitters, sparse or not! Ilike the bottles, too...that's unusual :o)
ReplyDeleteHaven't heard of this brand yet... thanks for showing :-)
All the best from Berlin!
I really love these swatches, I have a couple of these to try and I'm excited to see how they compare :)
ReplyDeleteSmooth Liquid Gold made my heart beat a little faster! Metallic shimmer golds are not something I ever wear, but I would love to get my hands on this one. Beautiful photos and swatches.
ReplyDeleteGooorgeous colors! Love that glitter!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that brand, but it looks well in your nails. Well, maybe, the colours aren't vivid enough for me.
ReplyDeletethese are so beautiful on you!
ReplyDeleteBoth "streets" look prettier in the bottle than on nails, but your nails look lovely in everything :)
ReplyDeleteJust add another layer and you'll find you get a different effect - I do this with all my translucent gels, with or without glitter, and the Oxford Street and Regent Street are probably my favourite gel glitters of all time right now - really lush coverage and last ages. I haven't tried the Too Hot To - looks lovely on your nails!!
