I'm part of a Facebook group called Paint All The Nails (which might explain the title of this post!) a group full of wonderful bloggers and once a month we have a themed nail art link up - this month's theme is negative space and it's my first time taking part. Participating in the link up is voluntary so you'll see a different mix of us each month!
My finished look only has a small amount of negative space, but it's there. It was kind of long-winded and fiddly to do, but I think it was worth it. Here's what I did:
My finished look only has a small amount of negative space, but it's there. It was kind of long-winded and fiddly to do, but I think it was worth it. Here's what I did:
I taped off 3 sections of my bare nails using striping tape, then using a nail art brush I filled in the sections with Colors By Llarowe Mocha Grande (Colors By Llarowe Fall 2015 Collection) and piCture pOlish Autumn. I removed the tape and set with quick dry top coat, then when it was dry I placed more striping tape over the negative space sections, and stamped over with a design from Born Pretty Store plate BP-L015. I removed the tape again et voila! Unfortunately the design streaked a bit with top coat, but you can only really tell in the macro shots.
I really like how this turned out, it looks even better in person. It was definitely time for some nail art featuring Autumn shades! What do you think?
Make sure you have a look at what the other participants of the link up have created this month:
Autumn shades and colour blocking, yes please!! I think they turned out fantastic - something about them is almost like little paper lanterns!
