Time for some Summery nail art! Gradients are forever one of my favourite nail art techniques, and I particularly love bright ones, so I've grabbed my trusty Polish For Tans and gone bright!

Autumn Animal Nail Art Tutorial for Barry M
I've created a few easy to follow tutorials for Barry M, utilising their Autumn/Winter 2014 Gelly shades (along with a couple of other Gellies too!) for some autumnal looks. The first one is this leopard print design, which may not feature typical autumn colours but the soft neutral look is perfect for this time of year! Read on for the steps...

Leather N' Leopard
This design is inspired by one of my best friends who said I needed to do a punk sort of manicure involving leopard print, leather and studs. So, here you go! ;)

Pastel Leopard
'Tis the season for pastels, and as you know I'm a huge fan of leopard print nail art (and leopard print in general, though not to a Bet Lynch sort of level!) I've picked some of my favourite pastel polishes for this subtle design.

Leopard, Studs and Glitter
I've been trying out different styles of leopard print lately, trying to find one that works best for me. I quite like this minimalist style, but it's still not working for me too well!

I'm Wearing Leopard Underneath
You can't go wrong (well, most of the time) with a classic leopard print manicure. I haven't featured it in a while so thought it was time!

piCture pOlish Mad Magenta - Swatches and Nail Art
I'm really excited to have some beautiful piCture pOlish shades to share with you over the next few weeks! piCture pOlish is an Australian boutique brand that has become hugely popular and you've probably seen swatches and nail art featuring PP all over the blogging world!
The first shade I've got to show you is Mad Magenta, a purple/pink creme. This is my first creme from piCture pOlish and I'm suitably impressed by it, application was very smooth and I only needed two coats (plus a top coat). Very shiny too, as you can see!
I added a leopard print accent nail by painting the tip on freehand using Mad Magenta, then added the leopard print on my bare nail using a nail art pen and dotting tool.
One of the other things I love about PP is the square bottles and rubber-feel lids!
piCture pOlish can be bought directly from picturepolish.com.au, or through their international network. In the UK, you can find them at Sally Magpies!

Leopard Skittles
I love skittles (the sweets) and as soon as I'd finished this design, I had to go out and buy a packet. I didn't intend it to look like skittles but the colours just ended up matching, thus we have leopard skittles!
I started off with a white base using Essie Blanc. I then stamped a leopard print design from Konad plate m57, and when everything was completely dry (helped along with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri) I taped off 1/4 of the nail and painted over the design with bright colours, before removing the tape and leaving the leopard tips. I filled in the leopard print with the matching colours using a tiny nail art brush.
The bright colours are Barry M Cyan Blue, Spring Green and Shocking Pink. The yellow is Rimmel Sunshine.
Definitely not the most subtle design I've ever done!

Pink Leopard
I've never really got on well with leopard print. When done well it can look really good, and there seems to be many ways of doing it, but I can never seem to get it right! And it always looks so easy. I don't even want to think about my earlier attempts at leopard print.
Today I used a tutorial from Chalkboard Nails to see if it helped, but it still didn't turn out how I wanted! Leopard, you are my nemesis.
My base colour is Color Club I Believe In Amour, the shiny dots are Models Own Mystic Mauve and the outline is Barry M Shocking Pink.

Eh, could be worse! I'll keep trying!

Pink and Lime Leopard Sparkle
Hello lovelies. Ugh, allow me a small rant for a minute. My tribal nails (these ones) are all over instagram and weheartit, with the watermark removed and even people re-creating the exact design and claiming everything as their own. Which is annoying in itself, but when you call them out on it, they have the cheek to say "Oh, it's on weheartit, if it's on there it means you can take it" uh, does it?? How does that work then? and someone also said "Well it's everywhere so it doesn't matter" I hate that childish mentality that if everyone else is doing it, that makes it ok. What is wrong with these people!? The nails aren't even that great!
It did inspire me to get my own instragram for my blog though, so if you use it you can follow me @britnails. Let me know if you have one for your blog and I'll follow you :)
I did another colourful design today, the weather is kind of inspiring.
To do this I used Models Own Lime Green as the base, then sponged on some Barry M Fuchsia to create a gradient.
I painted the leopard print on freehand (can't you tell) using a nail art brush.
I then added some Barry M Iridescent on my middle and little fingers, and finished with top coat.
I got some pretty impressive fabric print on these, I tried to smooth it out but it's still a bit noticeable. Oops!
