Today I had a go at the Nimbus technique, as seen on The Nailasaurus. Mine turned out quite differently but that's the beauty of tutorials, you sometimes get many different outcomes! Alex pointed out in the comments that this looks like a Bokeh effect, and I agree!
I used an abundance colours here, far too many to list them all! My base colours are Barry M Greenberry and Illamasqua Jo'Mina. I layered on lots of different greens and purples using the technique, and finally I dabbed Illamasqua Caress over the top. I finished with a coat of No7 Stay Perfect Top Coat (which as you may have noticed is my top coat of choice at the moment!) I love how this turned out, even though it's completely different to what I had in my head.
Great effect! I love how well purple and turquoise go together.
ReplyDeleteThat's amazing! It looks like multicoloured bubble wrap!
ReplyDeletereally love the green nails - great job x
ReplyDeleteI love how the technique ties all these gorgeous colors in together and makes it one cohesive (albeit AMAZING) mani. Love it!
