It's been a little while! I've had some things going on, plus my nails have been in terrible shape. They're still not back to normal; I had to cut them all down to nubs because they kept splitting, my middle nail was split so far down it was bleeding! :( they're all growing back ok now, they don't look great but I couldn't put off posting any longer. I have November's Metropolis shades from Cirque Colors to show you today, two seriously classy cremes with dream formulas!
I am a huge fan of Cirque's cremes (I know, I say it all the time!) so my heart skips a little whenever I receive some new Metropolis shades. This month we have two classy, sophisticated colours - including my new favourite nude!
Topless In Times Square is described as a beige creme with mauve undertones, and I'll tell you now I had so much difficulty capturing this colour! It looked slightly different in every swatch and drove me crazy. To my eyes, I can't see any mauve undertones, but in some swatches on other blogs you definitely can. Nevertheless it's a beautiful neautral colour and looks great with my skin tone. I used 2 coats plus top coat.
Glitterati is a taupe brown creme. This is for anyone who says they can't wear brown nail polish...you absolutely can! Dreamy formula, I used 2 coats plus top coat.
Let me know your thoughts, and please bear with my nubby little nails!

ReplyDeleteHeavens - my middle name is Taupe, I'm in love, Brit!
ReplyDeleteTopless in Times Square is definitely a chameleon, on me the mauve tones didn't show either! Love these both on you.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous swatches Allie!! Yes I also noticed how the nude looks different on everyone. It's unique for sure! Looks amazing on you!
ReplyDeleteThey both look gorgeous (but which polish doesn't look gorgeous on your beautiful nails?). Such pretty warm shades, love!
ReplyDeleteI adore these two shades, your swatches are beautiful as always! I love that the dark brown is called Glitteratti - not exactly what you'd expect from the name but as a big fan of brown polish I don't mind!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous swatches! I especially love Glitterati on you!
ReplyDeleteI love the nude shade!
