You may remember around this time last year I shared swatches of the original Vice Collection, which I loved so much, so I'm happy Cirque decided to add to it with 5 new shades plus a re-release of holo top coat, We Trippy.

Nicole by OPI Seize The Summer Collection Swatches and Review

Nicole by OPI Seize The Summer Collection

Summer is undeniably coming to and end (did we even have one?!) although I'm lucky because I still have my Summer holiday coming up! I'm a strong believer that bright nails aren't just for Summer though, and although it's nice to see the warmer shades coming in, there's still room for some brights!

Topshop Art School Swatches

I recently got some Topshop nail polish for the first time, I don't know how I've managed to avoid it for so long. They have a huge range of colours and pretty glitters too, although all the glitters look like dupes of other brands to me.

This is Art School, a peachy/orangey/coral creme. Or something. Apparently I am a sucker for coral shades.

Topshop Art School

I will say that these pictures are not 100% colour accurate (don't you hate it when that happens??) they're definitely close enough, just in real life slightly less orange and more of a peachy coral. If that makes sense, which I am sure it does not.

Topshop Art School

I was happy with the formula, pretty easy to apply. I used three coats because there were bald spots, but you may get away with two. One thing I did really like was the brush, it was quite wide and flat which is what I need for my nails.

I would say that last picture is the most colour accurate of the bunch.

Topshop polishes cost from £5-£6.50 for 8ml so not exactly cheap. Do you own any Topshop ones? How do you find them?

ORLY Emberstone Swatches

Before I start, UK girls...where do you buy your acetone!? I swear I cannot find any anywhere! Help!

Okay, here is another one I got in my swap with Melissa, Emberstone by ORLY, from the 2011 Mineral FX collection. Is it red? Is it orange? I've looked around and everyone has a different opinion. Personally I would say orange, or coral.

Don't forget to click the pictures for full size!

ORLY Emberstone

It's a jelly-like foil (I think that's another finish I just made up) packed with gold flecks, and some smaller pink/purple particles.

ORLY Emberstone

The formula is wonderful, glides on easily and is opaque in 2 coats. It's so eye-catching, shimmers loads in the sunlight and is like nothing else I own, very unique!

ORLY Emberstone

It looks like I want to EAT IT. Or lick it. Of course I will actually be doing neither.

Click the jump to see it with a matte topcoat!

60's Floral

Hello! Late post today, it's 1:45am and I'm still not sleepy. Such horrible weather here, cold and windy and buckets of rain. So miserable, and the lack of sunlight makes it so hard to take pictures. Anyway, this mani is inspired by floral print from the 60's. I love how bright and happy it is!

I started with a base of Barry M - Coral, and I stamped a BM plate (cannot remember the plate number and my plates are downstairs in the cold!) over that with Konad special polish in white. I then used a dotting tool to fill in the centres of the flowers, using Barry M - Cyan Blue and Models Own - Lime Green. Finished with top coat.

I wasn't sure how this was going to turn out but I love the finished result.

Barry M Coral Swatches

A little complaining to do before I start - My favourite nail (lets face it, we all have a favourite nail...or am I just strange?) has split half way down (on my swatching hand no less) so that's 3 completely broken nails this month. My hands look a complete mess! I swear I have tried everything to prevent breakages but nothing works. Also, my camera is going all crazy on me, refusing to focus and taking awful grainy pictures :( hopefully Santa will bring me a new one, but until then I'm stuck with a crappy one. All this is making blogging much too difficult! /end complaining...for now :P

Anyway. This is Coral by Barry M. I LOVE this polish. I honestly do not have a Barry M I dislike.

It's a very bright, orangey coral, super easy to apply and opaque with two coats. Like a lot of Barry M, it seems to be a hybrid of creme and jelly, though I'd lean mostly towards jelly.

I like wearing it on nights out when I'm wearing mostly black clothing, it makes dark outfits pop!
