Rimmel Sweetie Crush Collection Swatches and Review

Rimmel Sweetie Crush Swatches

A summery set of swatches for you today! This is the limited edition Sweetie Crush collection from Rimmel London.

Last year saw the release of Rimmel's first textured polishes, the Space Dust collection. New for this year is The Sweetie Crush Collection! Another venture into texture from Rimmel, this time it's cute pastel shades themed around retro sweets. Isn't the packaging completely adorable!? I love the retro sweet shop awning on the lids! They have a matte, sugary frosting finish with a bit of sparkle thrown in. The formula is quite thick, as textures tend to be, but they're not difficult to apply.

Violet Swizzle is a lilac pastel. I used 2 quite thick coats.

Fizzy Applelicious is a mint pastel. This one is quite a bit paler on the nail than it looks to be in the bottle, but 2 coats was enough.

Candyfloss Cutie is a strawberry pink. 2 coats

Sherbet Sweetheart is a pastel lemon. This is the only one that has bigger pieces of glitter in it, which makes it go on a bit lumpy. I'm not really a fan of the formula of this one! I used 3 coats for full opacity.

Blueberry Whizz is a lovely blue which is quite bright compared to the others in the collection. This one is my favourite! 2 coats

This is a really cute collection of polishes, my only grievance is I wish the colours were a little bit brighter!

My picks: Blueberry Whizz and Candyfloss Cutie
If you're only going to buy one, make it: Blueberry Whizz

You can find the Sweetie Crush collection at Boots and Superdrug nationwide, priced at £3.99 each.

  2. I do love a textured polish, but think these might be a bit pale for me. They look lovely on your nails and I am tempted by the blue one!

  9. These look really nice. I like the pastels. Strange about the lemon one, with particles being lumpier - wonder if that is just an 'off' bottle. Great swatches.
