Models Own Peacock Green Swatches

I'm almost at 30 followers! Thanks everyone! :) On to the polish...

This is another from my Models Own stash, Peacock Green. The pictures truly do not do it justice, it really has to be seen. It's a shimmery mermaid green/teal with flashes of sea blue in the sunlight. I wouldn't actually label it as a duochrome, but it's very green from some angles and very blue from others.

The formula is a little runny, but nothing awkward. I applied 2 coats and top coat. It could maybe have stood to have 3 coats, but 2 was good enough for me. You can see the flashes of blue in the picture below. So pretty!

Definitely one of my favourites from my collection. I just wish I could have done it justice!

Accessorize Navy Ink Swatches

I had a nail disaster yesterday, the entire corner of my middle nail snapped off and my thumb nail has cracked half way down  (on my good hand!) :( I don't know why my nails are SO brittle! I hope it's not too evident in my pictures. Anyway...

I've had this polish a while and only just decided to try it. I usually shy away from dark colours because they stain my nails, even with a base coat. I'm glad I tried it though because I love it! It's from the Accessorize 'With Love' collection.

It's a deep navy base with a lighter blue shimmer that shines beautifully in the sunlight. The formula was quite thick, two coats was enough, but it did start to chip after only two days...though that could be partly to do with me using cheap base and top coats (I really need to invest in something better)

You can see in the above picture how it shines in the sunlight. I love it! I just hope I don't get too much staining when it comes to removal :(

Accessorize polishes are £4/10ml.

Models Own Mystic Mauve Swatches

Another from my Models Own haul. I'm not entirely sure how to describe this one. It's quite metallic with a foil finish, though the Models Own website describes it as a shimmer. I'd say it has elements of all three.

It's a lovely silvery mauve colour, more silver in the sunlight and more mauve in the shade. Application is very nice, my pictures are two coats, no top coat.

This one would be perfect for all seasons I think. Definitely one of my favourites so far from my Models Own collection!

Models Own Beth's Blue & Pastel Pink Swatches

So these are my first couple of swatches from my new Models Own polishes, I thought I'd start with some pastel cremes. Please excuse my gnarly cuticles, I've neglected the Lemony Flutter over the past few days :(

Beth's Blue one of those shades that really suits anyone. It's possibly a one (thick) coat polish, but if you're like me and have big nails and tend to paint the first layer on a little messy (no matter how hard you try) you might need two to even out the coverage. These pictures are two coats + top coat.

Pastel Pink is the same as far as application goes. I love creme polishes but they're probably my least favourite to apply, I always struggle to get even coverage.

I love both of these although I'm not sure they suit my skin tone (I have quite olive skin) I don't care though, I won't be kept away from my pastels! :P
